Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Kitchen Hood Fire Suppression System with 5 -7 years of experience installation, testing, commissioning, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspection, and servicing of commercial kitchen fire suppression systems. Diploma/ITI qualification. The technician shall ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, NFPA standards, Qatar Civil Defense (QCDD) requirements, and company safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, inspect, maintain and repair kitchen hood fire suppression systems.
• Install piping, nozzles, detection cables, fusible links, control heads, cylinders, manual pull stations, and related accessories
• Perform routine testing and commissioning of kitchen hood fire suppression systems.
• Inspect agent cylinders, pressure gauges, nozzles, piping, detection systems, gas shut-off valves, electrical interlocks, and manual release stations.
• Replace fusible links as per manufacturer recommendations.
• Verify operation of mechanical and electrical shutdown functions.
• Preparing testing & commissioning and inspection report.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and clients on site.
• Conduct balloon testing of kitchen hood fire suppression system.
• Attend and assist engineers during QCDD inspection.
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in kitchen hood fire suppression systems installation, trouble shooting and repairing.
• Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, Fire & Safety, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in installation, testing, commissioning, inspection, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial kitchen hood fire suppression systems various brands like Ansul (R-102 & Piranha) Defender, Avenger, Hood safer, Amerex, Kidde, Pyro-Chem etc.
• Manufacturer training on kitchen hood suppression systems is an advantage.
• Good communication
