🌟 Job Purpose
The Tax Accounting Manager will lead and manage the company’s entire tax function, ensuring full compliance with Egyptian tax regulations and strengthening tax processes, controls and governance.

The role includes managing tax returns, electronic invoicing systems, tax audits, disputes and settlements, while providing proactive tax planning and advisory support across the business.

🔹 Key Responsibilities
🔺 Lead and manage all corporate tax activities across the organization.
🔺 Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of all tax returns.
🔺 Manage Value Added Tax returns and related compliance requirements.
🔺 Oversee corporate income-tax calculations and filings.
🔺 Manage payroll-tax obligations.
🔺 Oversee withholding-tax requirements and submissions.
🔺 Manage stamp tax and other applicable tax obligations.
🔺 Lead tax-compliance processes and ensure alignment with Egyptian regulations.
🔺 Oversee electronic invoicing and electronic receipt systems.
🔺 Prepare and review tax reports, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
🔺 Manage tax provisions and deferred-tax calculations.
🔺 Lead tax audits, inspections and inquiries with the Egyptian Tax Authority.
🔺 Handle tax assessments, disputes, appeals and settlements professionally.
🔺 Maintain direct communication with the Egyptian Tax Authority.
🔺 Monitor changes in tax laws and evaluate their financial and operational impact.
🔺 Review contracts, supplier agreements and business transactions from a tax perspective.
🔺 Review imports, procurement, logistics and operational transactions for tax compliance.
🔺 Partner with Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Commercial and Retail Operations teams.
🔺 Provide guidance on the appropriate tax treatment of business transactions.
🔺 Drive continuous improvement in tax processes and reporting systems.
🔺 Strengthen internal tax controls, documentation and governance.
🔺 Support strategic tax planning and identify lawful tax-optimization opportunities.
🔺 Minimize tax-risk exposure and ensure audit-ready records and documentation.

🔹 At least seven years of professional taxation experience.
🔹 Previous experience within retail, FMCG or a similar sector is preferred.
🔹 Strong expertise in Egyptian tax laws and regulations.
🔹 Advanced knowledge of preparing and reviewing different types of tax returns.
🔹 Proven experience in tax audits, inspections and disputes.
🔹 Direct experience dealing with the Egyptian Tax Authority.
🔹 Strong knowledge of electronic invoicing and electronic receipt systems.
🔹 Experience with tax reconciliations, provisions and deferred-tax calculations.
🔹 Ability to review contracts and commercial transactions from a tax perspective.
🔹 Strong analytical, problem-solving and tax-risk management skills.
🔹 Excellent stakeholder-management and cross-functional communication skills.
🔹 Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
🔹 Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Odoo or similar platforms.
