Job Description

ConnectWise is hiring a Sales Engineer for a full-time hybrid role based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. ConnectWise is a global software company supporting technology solution providers with tools that help partners manage their businesses, improve sales efficiency, automate service delivery, and remotely control technology to deliver outstanding customer experiences. The Sales Engineer will work closely with Sales teams to assess customer needs, present technical solutions, deliver product demonstrations, execute proofs of concept, and support successful product adoption through implementation and onboarding.

Responsibilities:
Support Sales teams with technical expertise and high attention to detail.
Assess customer needs and recommend solutions that deliver strong business value.
Represent both technical and functional aspects of ConnectWise products and services.
Deliver technical product demonstrations, presentations, and proof-of-concept sessions.
Research, analyze, and document customer requirements and solution findings.
Prepare reports that demonstrate the cost-benefit value of company products and services.
Provide technical training to clients and communicate customer feedback for future product development.
Work with Sales teams to generate pipeline and support successful product adoption.
Prepare and contribute technical input for RFPs and RFQs.
Act as a key technical point of contact for cross-functional teams.
Provide product knowledge, coaching, training, and product support to internal teams.
Work consultatively with business and technical users to position technology effectively.
Evaluate customer specifications and recommend solutions that optimize value.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing learning and development.
Coach and review the work of other team members when required.

Requirements & Skills

Strong MSP background, either within an MSP or with a vendor supporting MSPs.
Pre-sales or sales engineering experience, including demos and proofs of concept.
Business management expertise, including PSA, ticketing, and sales operations.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent business experience.
Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with business process or management applications.
Experience with CPQ tools.
Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
Proven successful sales or sales support track record.
Ability to manage projects and processes independently with limited supervision.
Advanced knowledge of the relevant work area, products, and services.
Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes based on partner requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to identify opportunities and leverage internal and external resources effectively.
Team player with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
Consulting experience is preferred.
Experience in channels such as MDP, VAR, OE, TSP, Internal IT, or MSP is preferred.
Willingness to travel 20–30% when required.
