General Accountant

Andalus Gate Holding is hiring a full-time General Accountant for an on-site position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The successful candidate will handle daily accounting operations, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, bank and account reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports.

The role also supports month-end and year-end closing, accounts payable and receivable, cash-flow monitoring, budgeting, forecasting and internal and external audits.


Key Responsibilities
Record accurate daily journal entries.
Maintain and update the general ledger.
Perform bank and account reconciliations.
Review account balances and prepare trial balances.
Prepare periodic financial statements and reports.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Manage accounts payable and supplier balances.
Manage accounts receivable, invoicing and collections.
Review invoices, expenses and supporting documents.
Monitor incoming and outgoing cash flows.
Assist with annual budgeting activities.
Support financial forecasting and performance analysis.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and controls.
Apply relevant accounting standards.
Prepare documents for internal and external audits.
Respond to auditor requests and provide financial explanations.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams.
Provide timely financial insights to support decision-making.
Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and confidential financial records.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Relevant professional experience in general accounting.
Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
Experience performing bank and account reconciliations.
Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Knowledge of invoicing and expense tracking.
Ability to prepare financial statements and reports.
Experience supporting month-end and year-end closing.
Ability to assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.
Knowledge of accounting standards and internal controls.
Ability to support internal and external audits.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
Excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Availability to work on-site in Riyadh.

Preferred Qualifications
CPA, CMA or a similar professional certification is an advantage.
Previous experience in corporate or holding-company finance.
Exposure to the food and beverage industry is preferred.
Advanced experience with ERP platforms.
Ability to analyze financial information and provide useful business insights.
