Job Description

Saladinn is hiring a full-time Salad Chef for an on-site position in Ghala Industrial, Muscat, Oman.
The successful candidate will prepare a variety of fresh salads, cold dishes and healthy meal items according to standardized recipes and portion guidelines.
The role includes washing, cutting and safely storing vegetables and other ingredients, assembling customer orders accurately and maintaining efficient service during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare a variety of salads, cold dishes and healthy meal items.
Follow standardized recipes and approved portion guidelines.
Wash, clean and prepare vegetables and other fresh ingredients.
Cut vegetables, fruits and ingredients using appropriate kitchen tools.
Store ingredients safely and according to food safety requirements.
Assemble salads accurately based on customer orders.
Complete orders efficiently and on time during peak service periods.
Maintain consistent taste, quality and presentation.
Follow portion control and food garnishing standards.
Keep the workstation, preparation areas and equipment clean and organized.
Follow personal hygiene and food safety procedures.
Use knives and kitchen equipment safely.
Assist with inventory checks and monitor ingredient quantities.
Follow proper stock rotation procedures.
Support basic ordering and replenishment requirements.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain efficient operations.
Support menu changes, daily specials and promotional items.
Suggest ideas for new dishes and kitchen process improvements.
Help train new employees on preparation methods and quality standards.

Requirements & Skills

Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food preparation role.
Experience preparing salads, cold dishes or healthy food is preferred.
Knowledge of basic culinary and ingredient preparation techniques.
Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to handle knives and kitchen equipment safely.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Ability to manage several orders at the same time.
Strong attention to detail in presentation and portioning.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Willingness to follow standard operating procedures and recipes.
A positive, responsible and dependable attitude.
Willingness to work flexible shifts.
Availability for evening or weekend shifts based on operational requirements.

Physical Requirements

Preferred Experience
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant operations.
