🌟 Role Overview
The Workplace Health & Safety Specialist will support Amazon’s goal of creating a safe working environment for all employees.

The role includes conducting safety audits, investigating incidents, assessing workplace risks and implementing measures to prevent injuries.

The successful candidate will also deliver safety training, analyze safety data and work closely with frontline employees and leadership to build a proactive safety culture.

🔹 Key Responsibilities
🔺 Implement and support workplace health and safety programs.
🔺 Conduct daily workplace safety audits.
🔺 Identify potential hazards across operational areas.
🔺 Perform risk assessments and job-safety analyses.
🔺 Investigate incidents, injuries and near-miss events.
🔺 Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
🔺 Develop preventive solutions to reduce workplace injuries.
🔺 Track corrective and preventive actions through completion.
🔺 Deliver safety training to associates and new employees.
🔺 Develop engaging safety awareness and training initiatives.
🔺 Coach employees on safe behaviors and work practices.
🔺 Serve as a trusted safety advisor and employee advocate.
🔺 Build strong relationships with employees and operational leadership.
🔺 Promote a culture where safety is everyone’s responsibility.
🔺 Analyze accident, incident and safety-performance data.
🔺 Convert safety data into practical reports and recommendations.
🔺 Assess new processes, equipment and machinery for safety risks.
🔺 Support continuous improvement while maintaining operational efficiency.
🔺 Maintain confidentiality involving security and personnel matters.
🔺 Support emergency-response and first-aid readiness.

💰 Compensation and Benefits
The advertised base-pay range is:
CAD 29–40 per hour

Final compensation will depend on experience, qualifications and location.

The role requires the ability to:

🔹 Work in variable temperatures and weather conditions.

🌟 Basic Qualifications
🔹 High-school diploma or equivalent.
🔹 Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
🔹 One of the following experience or education requirements:
At least one year of experience in an Environmental Health and Safety field.
A bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related discipline
Six months of safety-related experience within Amazon.
🔹 Professional experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
🔹 Experience maintaining confidentiality in security or personnel matters.

🔹 Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a safety-related field.

🔹 Current First Aid and CPR certifications are preferred.
