Role Description The Chinese Chef is a full-time, on-site role based in Ruwais, responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Chinese cuisine for staff and guests. The role includes planning menus, organizing kitchen operations, and ensuring consistent food quality and presentation. The Chinese Chef will manage food preparation, seasoning, and cooking techniques specific to regional Chinese dishes while adhering to hygiene and safety standards. Daily tasks also involve coordinating with procurement for ingredients, monitoring inventory, and minimizing food waste. The chef may assist in training kitchen staff and collaborating with management to accommodate special dietary needs and events.
Qualifications
• Strong skills in Chinese culinary techniques, including wok cooking, steaming, stir-frying, and preparation of regional Chinese dishes.
• Experience in menu planning, portion control, and food presentation for large groups or institutional settings.
• Solid knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen sanitation practices in a professional kitchen.
• Ability to manage kitchen operations, coordinate with suppliers, and maintain adequate stock of fresh ingredients.
• Previous experience as a Chinese Chef or Cook in restaurants, hote
