About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join a leading downstream energy and petrochemical operation. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting refinery and petrochemical assets by providing technical leadership, driving process optimisation, and delivering continuous improvement initiatives across complex operating units.
Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you will provide expert process engineering support, troubleshoot operational challenges, contribute to major projects, and help maximise plant performance, reliability and safety.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Process Engineers across designated operating areas.
• Monitor plant performance, including yields, throughput and efficiency, identifying opportunities to optimise operations and improve profitability.
• Plan, coordinate and evaluate process trials, implementing engineering improvements where required.
• Support plant start-ups, shutdowns, inspections and commissioning activities.
• Provide process engineering expertise for capital projects, including participation in HAZOPs, Process Flow Diagram (PFD) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) reviews, safety assessments and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
• Develop technical specifications for chemicals, catalysts and process materials, working with procurement and technical stakeholders to ensure optimal product selection.
• Contribute to feasibility studies, technology assessments and the identification of future improvement projects.
