Client Description:
Our client is a steel trading company specializing in carbon and stainless steel products, supporting commercial sales and procurement operations across regional and international markets.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with 2–5 years of experience in steel trading, with strong knowledge of carbon and stainless steel grades (e.g., SS304, SS316, A36, API). They hold a relevant bachelor’s degree and have hands-on experience in sales coordination and procurement. Proficient in ERP systems and Excel, they demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple orders, meet deadlines, and resolve issues effectively. GCC market experience and supplier network exposure are an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and issue accurate quotations for steel products, ensuring technical specifications are clearly defined.
• Follow up on customer inquiries, negotiate pricing within approved margins, and convert leads into confirmed sales orders.
• Process and manage sales orders in ERP systems, ensuring accuracy in quantities, grades, and specifications.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to customers.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and provide prompt responses to inquiries and order updates.
• Track order status from quotation to delivery and provide regular updates to clients.
• Support the sales team with market pricing trends and competitor analysis.
• Source materials from approved local and international suppliers in line with project and business requirements.
• Request and evaluate supplier quotations based on price, quality, delivery timelines, and certifications.
• Issue purchase orders and follow up on supplier confirmations and delivery schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with required specifications and standards.
