The NOC Operator ensures 24/7 monitoring and first-line operational control of networks, data center assets, and critical IT services. The role involves proactive fault identification, execution of SOPs, escalation as per defined matrix, and coordination of restoration activities within agreed SLAs. The position emphasizes accurate record-keeping, operational reporting, and continuous improvement of monitoring, alerting, and runbooks.
• Monitoring Data Centre Environment – Power, Cooling, Security, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, etc.
• Monitoring various servers & Error handling (Incident reporting/restarting services or servers etc.)
• Maintenance of Incident log, Backup and Media handling, Data Transfers and Data interface
• Inventory keeping of Stationary & Consumables of IT Operations
• User access creation/deletion/modification for user departments such as AD/e-mail accounts
• Contact System Administrators/vendors for further escalation of server/hardware issues
• Create new users, reset user passwords, lock/unlock user accounts and monitor server security and special services as per the incoming requirements.
• Prepare operation job sheets/procedures and supervise the operations and ensure regular back up process is undertaken as per the set policy
• Ensure Data Transfer/Data processing jobs carried out by operation staff as per schedule
• Attend user department calls – provide support on server connectivity and application access issues
• Prepare Shift Roster and TAS Details for Operation Section
• Create, view, modify, and delete role definitions for the system wide role assignments in the IT infrastructure throughout the organisation.
• Additional related activities assigned by IT management as and when required.
